It's In The Mail

Nicole has decided that she loves ksl.com. When we were discussing our plans for the mailbox she immediately began to search the classified ads to find someone. Lo and behold she did two weeks later we now have a matchy-matchy mailbox. I helped the mason build it and it was pretty interesting. He likes to dig to a depth of 3 feet to pour the foundation (yes something that small needs a foundation) so we started shoveling. And that is when we learned that the ground is frozen at least 14 inches deep. That was kind of a bugger but once we dug it out the rest came quite quickly. It is the perfect finishing touch and now, according to the US Postal Service, we officially live here. Of course owning a home has a downside. For example, when it when you wake up to a foot of new snow. Nicole, who absolutely detests all things winter, especially being cold, had to clear the driveway for me because I hurt my back last week and can't move very well or lift much. We are now seriously contemplating a snowblower.
